AE6DX/R Known as the Sawtooth Machine is now operational and serves the Sawtooth Valley from Phantom Hill (Milepost 140) on the south side of the summit to somewhat west of Stanley. It is in the early stages and we don't have the permanent antenna nor the link system operational as of this date but stayed tuned. It did work perfectly for the Sawtooth Relay race on June 14th which was it's first real test. Feel free to use it often and Please report back any information on it's coverage especially along the trail system using HT's. We don't have a handle on the road coverage area yet so we appreciate all reports. Chuck Robettson KX7ID sent in the WEB site for the coverage area based on theory and radiation patterns. http://www.idahoares.org/images/Galena_2.pdf Both repeaters are affiliated with the Southwest Idaho ARES group.
